So, what's he done to (reportedly) get $28 million a year? Given that three of the team's four quarterbacks are heading for free agency, they had to sign a player. While Bridgewater was healthy enough to be on the Vikings roster past year, the consistent play of Case Keenum kept the former first round pick on the sidelines.

"No final decisions have been made", Cousins' agent Mike McCartney told Schefter.

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins (8) warms up before the game between the Washington Redskins and the Denver Broncos at FedEx Field.

While Cousins is expected to sign with the Vikings, the deal has not been officially signed. "The plan is to visit Minnesota first".

The Vikings drafted Bridgewater with the 32nd overall pick in the 2014 draft. While Rapoport reports Bridgewater has other options, CBS Sports' Bryant McFadden reported that a deal between the two sides is being finalized.

Which version of Case Keenum are the Denver Broncos going to get - the player who we saw in Houston and St. Louis, or the player we saw previous year in Minnesota?

Keenum resurrected his career in Minnesota this past season, throwing for 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions en route to leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game. The rash of injuries to quarterbacks makes the guarantee a risky deal, but at three years, Minnesota seems willing to pull the trigger on it.

The reported deal could also make Cousins the first quarterback to receive a fully-guaranteed contract, possibly setting the precedent for similar extensions for quarterbacks like Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers and Atlanta's Matt Ryan in the coming months.

Cousins, who has played two seasons for the Redskins on a franchise tag, topped the 4,000-yard mark for the third straight year in 2017. As a result, with more than 24 hours to go before teams can sign an National Football League free agent, the deals are starting to come in.

Keenum is set to sign for the Denver Broncos, who were another team to be linked with Cousins, along with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets.
