Jose Mourinho goes in on Frank de Boer after Marcus Rashford comments

Rashford has had to make do with limited first-team opportunities under Mourinho this season, particularly following Alexis Sanchez's arrival from Arsenal in January, but the England worldwide returned to the starting line-up on Saturday afternoon to score both goals in a 2-1 win over Liverpool.

"But Mourinho is not like that", De Boer said.

"If he was coached by Frank, he would be coached how to lose because he lost every game".

"Rashford is without doubt one of the biggest talents in the Premier League and he could play a big part in Russian Federation this summer".

Oh dear. Mourinho was never going to take those comments lightly and considering De Boer only managed four games before he was sacked - with no points or no goals - he brought a rubber hammer to a gunfight.

"Normally he's an English player, you want him given time, he can make mistakes". "He wants to get results. He has got good people around him, and they always assure him he is in a good place", Lingard told ESPN.

Marouane Fellaini and Marcus Rashford are both selected in Manchester United's starting lineup for the Champions League fixture with Sevilla.

"I think we're not one of the best teams in the competition but when a team arrives in the last eight, anything can happen", said Mourinho, who said Paul Pogba did appear for a "little bit" of training after missing the start on Monday morning but was unsure if the midfielder would be involved.

As for Sevilla, manager Vincenzo Montella has made just one adjustment to the team which started the goalless draw in Spain last month. I know that it is very hard to go through.

The two sides played out a goalless draw in the first leg of the last 16 clash at Old Trafford last month as Mourinho looks to try and steer his side into the quarter-finals of Europe's elite club competition.
