John Krasinski's latest A Quiet Place has got audiences tickled pink and scared out of their wits - already.

If the audience at the opening night of the South By Southwest Film Festival is any indication-and breakout hits like last year's Baby Driver suggest it is-director John Krasinski looks to have a hit on his hands with A Quiet Place. The horror movie, which marks Krasinski's first time collaborating with his wife Emily Blunt, now sits at 100% on the review aggregator site, Rotten Tomatoes, with 16 reviews in.

Rolling Stone critic David Fear said you'll love the film, should 'your idea of fun include hyperventilating, biting your nails to the quick and potentially soiling yourself'.

It stars the husband-wife duo and is directed by Krasinski himself. He wrote, "This riveting near-silent thriller exudes the despair of a broken world with the concision of a Cormac McCarthy novel folded into a simplistic B-movie premise".

The horror film follows a family living in quiet solitude in the woods, where silence is survival! Not much is known about the specifics of the plot, but the trailers have depicted a world where unsafe creatures lurk outside, and the family must stay as quiet as they possibly can, day in and day out, if they wish to stay alive.

A Quiet Place will be released in United Kingdom cinemas on April 6, 2018.
