The company added the feature to the desktop version of YouTube previous year and has been met with much demand from consumers to implement the same feature in the mobile apps. That's certainly the case with YouTube's "Dark theme", which arrives today on the iOS version of the app. However, much like how a simple cup-holder in a auto can make or break a sale, a dark theme will prove a popular addition to the YouTube mix.

The mobile dark theme (via The Verge) is similar to its web counterpart, using black and dark shades of gray for the app's background.

To toggle on/off the new Dark Theme, just tap your profile icon, go to Settings and then you'll see the toggle setting to turn it on or off.

The company is today rolling out a new dark theme for YouTube on the iPhone, and it'll be bringing the new dark theme to Android devices sometime soon.
