The hoop gods, also known as the NCAA men's basketball tournament selection committee, blessed the University of Rhode Island and Providence College Sunday with berths in the lucrative NCAA tournament, also known as March Madness.

"It means a lot", Texas head coach Karen Aston said.

UNLV did not receive an invitation to the NCAA or the NIT tournaments.

A&M, making its 13th straight appearance, is in the Spokane Regional which has Notre Dame as the No. 1 seed. "It is a good feeling when you know you're in". "Hopefully we'll last past the second round because I'm exhausted of losing in the second round".

The Wolf Pack is one of two teams from the Mountain West Conference to make the tournament, seeded seventh in the South Region. The Aggies have hosted the first and second rounds five out of the last seven years.

Tyler Davis is Texas A&M's most important player. "I think we're better prepared for this year".

The Aggies will take on the Drake Bulldogs on Friday at Reed Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The victor of that game, which tips at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, faces the Texas A&M-Drake victor in the Second Round on Sunday, March 18 inside Reed Arena.
