2018, LG had reportedly showcased the notch enabled LG G7 phone behind closed doors to select clients.

LG has steadily lost ground compared to stalwart Android rival Samsung as well as Huawei, and is feeling pressure on the lower end by surging brands like OnePlus.

LG is also planning to differentiate its V and G series smartphone as the difference between the pricing is not much. Moreover, visualizing the LG G7 is not very challenging, especially that the handset is expected to use the same elements of the 2016 LG V30. According to ETNews, the LG G7 could cost 100,000 won more than the LG G6 in Korea (which retailed between $600-$720 in the USA depending on your carrier). This translates to a price bump of about $94, £67 or AU$120, meaning the LG G7 may cost over $800. The most noticeable part of the concept image is the bezel-less display and the notch area on the top display, akin to the iPhone X design. The iPhone X notch contains the required sensors for the Face ID, while the LG G7 concept renders have none of these.

ETNews also reports that an LG G7 Plus may release alongside the standard G7. Apparently, an event could unveil the phone as early as late April with sales of the phone starting late in May.

The handset is also said to be packing a 3,000 mAh battery, while previous rumors suggested the handset would include a Snapdragon 845 chipset and at least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage. Still, a visual artist has come up with his own take on the LG G7 render, taking all the rumored features and specs of the upcoming device into consideration.

LG did not respond to a request for comment.
