KriArj Entertainment acquires the official rights of 'Woh Kaun Thi'

After the success of Rustom, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pad Man and Pari, KriArj Entertainment is on a roll, backing an exciting, versatile line up of films that are high on content and entertainment value.

KriArj Entertainment has bought the remake rights of the 1964 classic thriller Wo Kaun Thi and Shahid Kapoor might play the lead in the film. Who can forget - Naina barse rimjhim, Lag Ja Gale se, two of the most celebrated songs of all time? The original film was helmed by Raj Khosla and starred Manoj Kumar and Sadhna.

Talking about the same with a leading daily, Prernaa said, "The minute we acquired the remake rights we thought of the songs". When Deccan Chronicle quizzed her about which actress she would like to see lip sync the songs in the remake, the veteran singer said, "The melodies of Woh Kaun Thi were the soul of the theme". Take the songs away and you take away the film's heartbeat. The actor has recently signed a three-film deal with Prernaa Arora's production house and if the buzz is to be believed, makers want to sign Kapoor for the WKT remake.

Woh kaun Thi is a timeless classic that spotted the symbol of beauty. The 1964 film was a black and white film that went on to become a major hit. After this project, he is committed to doing two more films with the studio. Apart from this, the production house will also entertain us with Parmanu: The story of Pokhran, Fanne Khan and Kedarnath all hopefully to release this year.
