Jose Altuve INSISTS he wasn't angrily staring through Donald Trump's soul at the White House on Monday - he just has resting angry face.

Getty Images photographer Chip Somodevilla captured this image of Altuve glaring at the president during Trump's speech congratulating the team on their 2017 World Series title.

The most cringeworthy moment of the day came when Trump called out Altuve by name, leading to an awkward handshake and a joke about the Silver Slugger-winning second baseman's size.

"He's much taller than I thought", Trump said during his speech.

"I'm (standing) behind the president-probably one of the most important guys in the world", Altuve told reporters Tuesday.

"The president was talking. what do you want me to do?"

Though White House visits for championship-winning teams have always been a tradition, they have become increasingly politicized since Trump took office.

Despite batting.310 and clubbing seven home runs during the playoffs, Altuve clearly can't shake the nagging narrative surrounding his height.

Teammate Carlos Beltran, who retired after the Astros won the World Series, was also not in attendance.
