Speaking on the company's latest offering, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have today launched the new X Blade 160 in India. Not only this, but it will also offer faster acceleration along with better load carrying capability. It gets a rather sharp-looking LED headlamp, sporty fuel tank extensions, and a dual outlet for the end-can.

It is also equipped with a wide 130 mm rear tyre with mono shock rear suspension providing better handling while cornering, HMSI said. "The aggressive and futuristic new X-Blade has been designed for millenials and Gen-Z". The X-Blade gets a segment-first LED headlamp giving a robotic look to the bike. And while not at a bank breaker of a price, the Honda X-Blade is feature-rich, too, with things like a digital meter, full LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a choice of five colour-combination choices offered as standard. A 9 LED position lamp setup ensures that the X-Blade stands out of the crowd.

The new X Blade comes with a 162.71 cc engine. The X-Blade also sports a taller fly screen, an underbelly cowl, chunky grab rails and a redesigned LED tail-lamp.

The X-Blade aims to deliver on comfort and safety with a long seat, seal chain and hazard switch.

As mentioned, the company has begun despatching units, and you can book one against an advance payment of Rs 5,000 at any of the Honda dealerships across the country. The X-Blade will be available in 5 colours - Matte Marvel Blue Metallic / Matte Frozen Silver Metallic / Pearl Spartan Red / Pearl Igneous Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic. For the X-Blade, however, the engine has been de-tuned to produce a maximum power of 13.93 Bhp along with a peak torque of 13.9 Nm. Another notable feature is the fully-digital speedo console that even offers a Service Due reminder and a Gear Indicator. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and Honda says that the engine has been specifically created to deliver good low and mid-range performance.
