Grand Theft Auto 5 Premium Edition is reportedly happening

All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. First there was a listing on Amazon Germany, then this past weekend the game got rated by the South Korean Rating's Board. However, Kotaku UK has said that its sources claim the release date was pushed back to April at short notice. Neither of these leaks gave any information on this new version of GTA V, but both implied the game existed and wasn't far off release.

In addition, the report notes that GTA V Premium Edition was originally scheduled to debut on March 23, however, Rockstar chose to delay it.

Even taking this news with a pinch of salt, that means the Premium Edition comes packed with over four years of GTA: Online DLC, including last year's Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, which originally cost up to £39.99/$59.99 and translates to over $10 million GTA dollars in virtual items. Nevertheless, for those who have yet to explore the streets of Los Santos in GTA 5, the all-but-confirmed Premium Edition should offer them a solid way to not get left behind in the game's multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto Online.

It's a little disappointing that there's nothing explicitly "new" in this edition though, as mentioned above, this has to be seen in the context of Rockstar's incredible post-release support for the game.

Rockstar is reportedly looking to replace the standard version of GTA 5 with the Premium Edition of the game, and as such retailers are now busy attempting to flog their existing stock of the original release.

The price of the Premium Edition isn't clearly, but it's likely to be full price or close to it. Guess there must be!
