The actress is reported to have dashed back from the United States after Miles Hurley was repeatedly knifed in Battersea, south London.

Elizabeth Hurley's nephew Miles Hurley is recovering after being stabbed multiple times on Thursday night (March 8) during a night out in London.

Elizabeth Hurley has spoken about the "brutal attack" on her 21-year-old nephew after he was stabbed in London. She then took to her Twitter account to thank the police and hospital staff for being "fantastic". "Thank you for all your messages", she continued.

The Met Police have not confirmed his name, but sources suspect it is Miles Hurley, who is also a famed United Kingdom model.

In a horrific attack, a group of men got out of a vehicle, assaulted them and fled.

It is believed that he is now in a stable condition after he and another 21-year-old were left with non-life-threatening injuries. A spokesman said that officers attended the scene to find Hurley and another man, also believed to be aged 21, suffering from stab wounds.

A friend of the family said in the Sun newspaper: "Unfortunately, the knife hit vital organs".

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the attack took place in Nine Elms, south-west London, at 9pm on Thursday. In 2013 he paid tribute to Liz, saying: "I'm really close to my aunt and she's very supportive of everything I do. Road closures were also in place but have since been lifted".

Elizabeth had been in the United States promoting her show The Royals when she dropped everything on Friday to rush back to London to be by her nephew's side.

Liz is especially close to Miles, whose mom is her older sister Kate Curran, 54.
