"On March 18, fans will witness the penultimate episode of "#Dragon Ball Super".

And in an official release from the official website for Dragon Ball's 20th film, the site confirmed that the film will continue to follow the Dragon Ball Super world and it will be released December 14 in Japan. The new movie's poster is accompanied by a tagline that translates as "Super" Movie begins, which indicates that the new movie will have a Dragon Ball Super connection.

But Monday, a couple things were made clear, the 20th film in the Dragon Ball series has an official release date and the Dragon Ball Super series will continue with the film being the benchmark for its future plans. Along with the first promotional visual for the upcoming film are the details revealed by Toei Animation, and Akira Toriyama. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1996 and the chapters were published in 42 volumes by Shueisha. The Tournament of Power has had its fair share of twists and turns, but now that Goku achieved a new level of power, his latest bout with Jiren is an interesting one. I started out unsure of the direction for Dragon Ball Super because of its difference in tone from DBZ, but it has once again become an action anime staple over time and I will take Dragon Ball in any form that we are fortunate enough to receive it in.

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. The show is also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.
