The optics on the phone are still relevant, even if it's not comparable to the mighty Google Pixel 2 or iPhone X. There's a 12MP "Dual Pixel" rear camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and smart OIS feature, which can shoot some great detailed photos. Both will remain IP68 water and dust resistant and keep the option to add memory via microSD.

Samsung has accidentally leaked its own unannounced smartphoneSamsung Galaxy S9 release date - when can you get it? The wonder 10nm chip features a Kryo 385 octa-core CPU that is 30 percent faster for the high-powered cores, and about 15 percent quicker than those in the Snapdragon 835 for low-powered tasks.

The phones will be unveiled at the Unpacked event.

Samsung has a press conference scheduled Sunday where it will unveil the device, just ahead of the official opening of MWC.

Samsung really insists on the business features of the device. Samsung isn't giving anything away in its teaser advert, though it does come with the tagline "The Camera".

Samsung and Apple are destined to copy each other, though Samsung tends to be less subtle about it.

Here's what we think we know so far.

5G also offers new opportunities for the so-called Internet of Things market. But the trade-in requirement still means you're going to have to evaluate this deal carefully, because carrier trade-in pricing tends to undervalue new phones particularly badly.

And as long as we are keeping with the two-letter acronyms, AI should get more of a presence at the show as well. But there are chances that it is going to be a flagship phone and that the leaked schematics hint that it is going to resemble the iPhone X a lot. First, just like rumors said, it looks just like the Galaxy S8.

Additionally, smartphone vendors generally consider that mobile phones will become the core end-device for IoT networks, and thus they have to optimize related hardware and software specifications to enable a variety of applications and scenarios such as AR or VR through the support AI technology. And despite the screen's resistance to accidental drops, it tends to scratch easily. We know when preorders will go live and we know when the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be released.

Does Samsung have any tricks or surprises left up its collective sleeve for us? Featuring the same big 5.8 and 6.2-inch displays, but with a new camera and extra features to make them the best Galaxy phones ever.

Worldwide spend on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) is expected to hit $17.8 billion in 2018, a 95 percent rise from past year, according to research firm IDC, and the technology is expected to make a big appearance at MWC.
