Wenger: Mourinho prioritised Europa League 'much later'

Here is our predicted Arsenal XI for the second leg of their Europa League last 16 clash with Ostersund.

Despite Sunday's cup final looming large, Wenger insists Arsenal must still focus on completing their job against Ostersunds. The Gunners have frequently won those prizes playing an enterprising brand of football, too.

In addition, Wenger also confirmed that Mesut Ozil will miss out for Thursday's match due to illness, but is expected back for Sunday's EFL Cup final.

"I have always respected my contracts", Wenger said.

"I'd like to play every week but I respect the manager's decision. He should be OK for Sunday".

Wembley-specialist Ramsey, meanwhile, is still recovering from his groin injury and he will be touch and go to be involved on Sunday.

Wenger said: 'His immune system is in trouble and I don't know why. Ramsey had a good training session today, but he can't play tomorrow.

"It [the Europa League] is one of the priorities we have but there's a long way to go. I don't rule him out".

Petr Cech expects to be on the bench for the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City as David Ospina continues in goal.

They are sixth in the Premier League and well off the pace of the top four, and so many believe they could see the Europa League as an alternative route to the Champions League.

I think Arsene Wenger will have to play two or three regulars and then it will be the kids for a stroll in the park, having won the first leg comfortably.

Of the 13 players who played for Arsenal in the 2011 League Cup final defeat to Birmingham, only Laurent Koscielny and Jack Wilshere are still at the club.

The Frenchman has again come under criticism this campaign with the Gunners in fifth place in the Premier League and eight points off Chelsea in fourth.

Mkhitaryan likens Wenger's style of play to that of Jurgen Klopp, who was his manager at Borussia Dortmund between 2013 and 2015.
