Idea offers Rs 2000 cash back on purchase of new 4G phone

This move is aimed to garner more subscribers by partnering with handset makers. This offer is applicable to both prepaid and postpaid Idea customers who purchase a new 4G smartphone on or after February 23, 2018. Under this offer, Idea users will get Rs 2,000 cashback on the purchase of new 4G smartphone of any brand. Aditya Birla-led Idea Cellular has now taken the cashback bonanza to the next level and has announced a Rs. 2,000/- cashback offer on all the new 4G smartphones irrespective of any brand.

"The primary barrier for 4G adoption has been 4G handset affordability". Well now, the telco has announced yet another cashback offer, and, this one's available for both prepaid as well as postpaid customers.

It is to be noted that the Jio Football Offer is available for all 4G-enabled smartphones manufactured by reputed companies.

Reliance Jio's entry into the telecom market has raised a battle of tariffs and now, the tussle is for cashback offers. It competes against Jio's new "Football Offer", as well as the "Mera Pehla Smartphone" offer by Airtel. This special recharge offers unlimited calls across all networks, 1.4 GB/Day, 100 SMS/Day, free roaming (outgoing and incoming), for a validity of 28 days. In order to get the cashback vouchers, the buyer needs to get their first recharge with Rs 198 or Rs 299 plans, after which the cashback vouchers can be redeemed on subsequent recharges with any of the recharge packs by Jio.

Idea prepaid customers need to do a cumulative recharge of Rs. 3,000/- in the first 18 months to be eligible for the first cashback of Rs. 750/-. Those opting for Idea's Rs 398, Rs 449, Rs 459 and Rs 509 recharge vouchers do not need to recharge every month.

For postpaid users, the cashback offer is applicable on all Nirvana voice combo plans starting fromo Rs 389 for a duration of 36 months. The 360-degree campaign, comprising of Television, Radio, OOH & Digital, will also be visible on the high impact cricket properties such as the India-Sri Lanka-Bangladesh T20 tri-series starting March 6, 2018.
