The open beta phase for Metal Gear Survive is now underway and below you can find some 4K screenshots from it.

During the open beta weekend, players will be able to try out three missions across two different maps and they can choose to play through them either solo or with up to four friends online with co-op. Available on all platforms, the beta will run through February 18, 2018 and allow PC players (through Steam) to experience game's co-op mode for the first time before launch. Everyone who participates in the trial will also receive three bonus cosmetic items in the full game: a FOXHOUND name plate, Metal Gear Rex Head accessory, and a bandana. The response to the game's recent beta was warm enough, so there's still a chance for Survive to carve out an audience despite the general lack of enthusiasm from fans of the series.

The game has seen a lot of controversy due to the way Konami handled Kojima-san's departure.

If you manage to play the first beta, what did you make of it? It seems that a major disparity exists, and only time will tell whether the game is actually a good one or not. While I only got to check out the cooperative multiplayer portion of Metal Gear Survive, there is a fully fledged single-player component.

Play METAL GEAR SURVIVE'S CO-OP mode before the release of the full game! It is ideal to use melee weapons as efficiently as possible while also using special equipment, such as mech suits to keep the zombies at bay.
