"Coach (Tyronn) Lue called up a great play, Jeff Green gave me a heck of a pass and I just trusted my instincts and let it go", James said in a courtside interview.

The makeover was also aimed at placating James, who can become a free agent and leave Cleveland this summer.

"We added some talent, some athleticism and the overwhelming thing for us was to create a culture here that I think everyone wants to be a part of", Altman said.

Thomas came to the Cavaliers from the Boston Celtics along with Crowder in the offseason trade involving Kyrie Irving.

Cavaliers: Begin a stretch of three straight road games before the All-Star break on Friday in Atlanta. Crowder was also traded Thursday to Utah.

Jordan Clarkson, Cavaliers - has averaged 14.4 points per game when he comes off the bench over the last two seasons, the fifth-highest average of any player in that time. Only one current member of the Cavaliers, Kevin Love, grabs as many contested rebounds (3.5) as Nance. James also hopes Thomas "can get that bounce back" with the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James has a lot of new teammates. And if James buys back in with them, the Cavs' chaotic season could actually end up with a blissful ending. He allowed 0.9 points per possession for the Kings this season, putting him in the top 25 percent of the National Basketball Association, nearly completely locking down the ballhandler on the pick-and-roll (0.7 PPP, sixth-best among guards defending at least 100 possessions in 2017-18).

Thibodeau lamented two times the Wolves took a three-point lead, at fourth quarter's end and in overtime, and allowed James a tying three-pointer each time. That was the hardest part for me was seeing him. and I don't want to say he didn't believe in this group and want to be careful in saying that because he's going to compete every night and try to get whatever teams he's on to the Finals. "No", said Altman, who added he wanted to get "youthful wings" who could play right away and felt Wade's minutes would continue to be reduced. "I wish the best for him in LA right now and his future".

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade tell Rachel Nichols what it has been like with Wade in Cleveland, including his hunt for a home, and the pair share how it feels to be back playing side by side. Altman said he approached Wade out of respect to see if he wanted to be moved and the Cavs were able to get a deal done with the Heat.

"This guy is so good he dictates outcomes", Altman said. There was speculation that maybe the Cavs would trade that selection before the deadline, but it's the only part of the deal that Cleveland has made a decision to keep.

Just last week James expressed doubts about the Cavs' commitment to fixing their roster. There were rumors a couple of weeks ago that the Kings would send the point guard to the Cavs in exchange for Frye and Shumpert, though a deal was never made.

He doesn't have any doubts now.

But as he has done so many times, James delivered one of those moments that have defined him. There is no guarantee that he will re-sign with the Cavs, but he made it clear that winning a title this season is still the focus.
