"My soundings are that there are a lot of talks going on in the background, there are a lot of talks around people with Mayweather".

Now there are circulating rumors that there are ongoing discussions between Mayweather and the UFC - to stage a McGregor rematch.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER and Conor McGregor are deep in talks over a sensational MMA rematch worth around £360million, according to reports.

Of course, Mayweather would be an overwhelming underdog against virtually anybody he would face in the UFC much less the lightweight champion in McGregor.

Mayweather came out of retirement to face McGregor and immediately retired again after their bout.

As seen in the fight, the UFC champion did show some good things in the ring considering that it was his first outing as a professional. If he does fight in the UFC, it's going to be against Conor McGregor. "We went over and boxed him, the UFC and Conor McGregor".

'People will tune in to see Mayweather get stopped by Conor McGregor and it won't affect his boxing record. It turns out, the two sides are actually in talks of a rematch and it's going to happen in the Octagon this time.

McGregor is believed to have made $100 million total for that fight when you include salary and sponsors, while Mayweather hinted at making $400 million.

Davies disagrees, however, citing the enormous payday potentially on offer.

What's a UFC lightweight champion and former featherweight champion with an entrepreneurial streak to do? If the two could smash MMA's pay-per-view records to the point of several hundred million dollars, it would certainly provide a huge incentive.

You'd have to think that if this did happen that Mayweather would receive he beating of all beatings unless McGregor behind the scenes promised to take it easy on him, which would not be surprising either. If this fight does happen then it wouldn't impact his boxing record but rather his MMA record.
