One of the advantages of these packs are that unlike regular data allotments, these do not "lapse" at the end of the day. The data benefit of the plan now totals to 39.2GB data instead of 28GB. This means users will get a total of 91GB data under this plan. The plan now competes directly with Jio's Rs 399 plan.

The third voucher is of Rs 51, which provides 3 GB of data, and the fourth recharge is of Rs 101, giving 6 GB. The Rs 11 add-on will now offer 400MB data; Rs 21 data add-on gives 1GB of 4G data; the Rs 51 data offers 3GB of 4G data, and the Rs 101 data add-on will offer 6GB of 4G data. It is now valid for 84 days instead of 70 days. With a validity of 28 days, the plan now offers 2GB data per day. The plan previously offered 105GB data, it now offers 140GB data.

Reliance Jio already announced four new data add-on tariff plans alongside the Rs 49 tariff plan for JioPhone a couple of days ago. Apart from data, the plan offers free unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100 free SMS per day.

Rs 498 plan: Reliance Jio's Rs 498 plan now offers 182GB data, up from 136GB earlier. The company has increased the validity of this plan from 84 days to 91 days. It offers 84GB data and has a validity of 28 days.

Do make a note that these data add-on plans should be recharged on top of the standard prepaid recharge. The pre-paid plan has validity of 28 days and offers total of 112GB data. All the new tariff plans come into effect from January 26, 2018.

Alongside, Airtel has also revised its Rs 149 plan. But the company did not reveal the data offering though. As mentioned above, earlier this month Airtel fired a fresh salvo in the ongoing price war in the telecom industry by revising several of its plans. Airtel, on the other hand, offers 1.4GB data per day like Vodafone, free unlimited voice calls, local, STD and roaming along, with free 100 SMS per day, for Rs 199. Vodafone has quietly revised its Rs 198 prepaid plan to offer higher daily 3G/4G data per day.
