Luis Suarez says we should feel privileged to watch Lionel Messi after the duo masterminded Barcelona's 5-0 win against Real Betis on Sunday.

Everyone ran out of superlatives for the Argentine wizard a long time ago, but the magician was at it again as Barcelona hammered Real Betis 5-0 on Sunday.

"In every game Messi leaves a special touch. Now I can enjoy it", said Valverde.

The 21-year-old Betis midfielder, who did feature against Catalan yesterday, has been one of the best players at the club this season.

Following a respectful first-half from both free-scoring outfits, which saw little created at either end of the pitch, Blaugrana's ruthlessness in front of goal, via Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, during a 10-minute capitulation from the hosts was enough to forge an insurmountable lead.

The Belgium global hobbled down the tunnel late on in the first half to be replaced by Samuel Umtiti, who had himself just returned from a seven-week layoff.

The floodgates opened in the second half, with Bale adding his second 13 minutes after the break with a towering header and Luka Modric expertly whipping home Real s fourth ten minutes later from outside the area.

"He plays each game with such detail".

"But as the game progressed, we got better".

The first attempt on target arrived a minute later as Rakitic stung the palms of Adan with a venomous strike from 25 yards out, while Messi could only hit the side-netting from an acute angle on the left after being played in by Suarez on the counter six minutes later.

"Our manager told us before the game he has been planning the whole week how to stop Messi". We persevered, they took risks and we punished them.

Suarez and Messi scored two each as Barca scored five second-half goals to move 11 points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid, who were held by Girona on Saturday.

"We have to keep going in the same vein". "We won't get ahead of ourselves. But every game we win will be another big step [towards the title]".

Messi was particularly impressive in Barca's second-half assault and Valverde could only pay tribute to his superstar.
