Dolores O'Riordan mourned by hundreds in open coffin public reposal

Thousands of people paid tribute to late Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan at St. Joseph's Church in Limerick, Ireland, on Saturday, where she was lying in repose.

Father James Walton PP, Ballybricken & Bohermore, Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly, Archbishop of Cashel & Emly and Archbishop Emeritus Dermot Clifford will concelebrate the Mass which will be followed by private family burial.

In a statement, her publicist said: "Whilst the primary objective of Dolores's trip to London last Sunday evening was for a studio mixing session on Monday and Tuesday with Martin "Youth" Glover on a recently recorded D.A.R.K. album, it has emerged that while in London she was also due to meet with The Cranberries record label, BMG to discuss plans for the release of a new Cranberries studio album that she had been working on with the band in recent months".

He's attending her removal in Ballyneety, Limerick this evening.

"I also wanted to meet her mother Eileen and that fabulous huge family of nephews and nieces that she had, and were very important to her".

The funeral mass will be broadcast live by Limerick's local radio station.

The Cranberries lead singer was found dead in a London hotel last Monday.

O'Riordan's body was on display in the casket, and according to the Irish Times the singer was said to look "at peace".

O'Riordan was only in her teens when she auditioned to be lead singer for The Cranberries.

Hundreds of mourners are expected to attend the singer's removal service in Ballyneety from 4pm-8pm. The Gardaí will have a one-way traffic management plan in place and the co-operation by everyone in attendance would be appreciated.

In Limerick, Ireland, thousands of fans gathered to say goodbye to Dolores O'Riordan, the lead singer for The Cranberries who died on January 15 at the age of 46.

"Motorists are advised to expect long delays on the R512 in the vicinity of Ballyneety Village and should use an alternative route if possible". Inbound traffic from Kilmallock and Bruff to Limerick City will be diverted to the R511 Fedamore Road at The Hunting Lodge Bar.

O'Riordan's funeral will be held on Tuesday at Caherelly Cemetery in County Limerick, Ireland.
