Ranveer Singh appeared at the function with an interesting outfit that clubbed poster motifs of various classic Hindi films. With the crème la crème of the business under one roof, the show's host is none other than Bollywood's Badshaah Shah Rukh Khan.

Critics award for Best actor female was received by wonderful Zaira Wasim as her performance in Secret Superstar fell like a rock on everybody else considering her tender age. There were speculations that because Akshay Kumar is performing, he might take the award but it was a pleasant surprise to see that winners list had names like Trapped, Rajkummar Rao, A Death in the Gunj, Konkana Sen Sharma and many more. "I would like to extend my biggest thank you to my team". Ashwini Iyer Tiwari won the best director award for her comedy/drama film Bareilly Ki Barfi starring Ayushman Khurana and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Unfortunately, however, while Irrfan Khan won for his role in Hindi Medium, Saba Qamar was not as fortunate.

Amit V. Masurkar bagged the Best Original Story Award for his Oscar-nominated film "Newton", which won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film.

The 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards has begun and the celebs have started coming in.

The best playback singer (male) award went to Arijit Singh for the film "Badrinath ki Dulhaniya's song "Roke na Ruke Naina" and Meghna Mishra won the best playback singer (female) award for the number "Nachdi Phira" in 'Secret Superstar". I am very happy.
