Arsene Wenger: 'Jack Wilshere can be a leader at Arsenal'

Istanbul Basaksehir forward Emmanuel Adebayor has lifted the lid on why he prefers his six-month stint under the Portuguese tactician at Real Madrid to his time with the Frenchman at Arsenal. "And that is something that is important, that he can be one of the leaders of the future".

Wilshere, 26, has been a standout performer in Arsenal's midfield this term but will be out of contract at the end of the season. "I was like 'I'm going to stay.' He was like 'no there is not even a fight organised".

By the time Arsenal face Palace, Sanchez could finally have got his wish to leave, with reports claiming the Chilean is on the verge of a £30 million ($41 million, 34 million euros) move to United that would make him the league's highest paid player.

There is a consolation, somewhat, for Arsenal fans...

"There is one club in particular, much closer to his current home, I feel should be monitoring developments more than others; a club desperately in need of Conte's persona, who would send a rocket through every department of their institution and instantly change perceptions".

It seems unlikely that Conte will be removed from his position having won the Premier League in his first season in charge and with Chelsea still in both domestic cups, the last 16 of the Champions League and on course for a top-four finish. Talking about the celebration in an interview, he reflected how it felt like a prisoner was set free when he ran towards the Arsenal supporter stand and performed a knee slide in front of them.

The Gunners have not scheduled contract talks with the attacker since March past year, but the club are likely to hold another series of negotiations with the German likely to stay put for the remainder of his deal.

"I could imagine Real Madrid considering Conte as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane, whose position looks vulnerable".

"At half-time I thought we were staring down the barrel of a gun", he said. "Before he was a bit more, 'My body can take that, ' like we all were when we were 20 years old".

"Mourinho is a manager that wants to win a trophy no matter what it takes". He will not sleep. "He is like a teacher", he said.
