Square Enix is taking a radio silence approach to Final Fantasy VII Remake, only giving short answers when directly asked about it or simply letting other projects take the spotlight while there are no relevant news to share. Patch 4.2, entitled Rise of a New Sun, brings a wealth of new content to the critically acclaimed MMO and continues the tempestuous story of the Stormblood™ expansion. The previous arc borrowed elements from Final Fantasy V, with the new Omega: Sigmascape sections confirmed to borrow parts from its successor.

The update also introduces a new side quest named The Jade Stoa, beast tribe quests for the Ananta tribe Vira, and two new dungeons with Hell's Lid and a hard version of The Fractal Continuum. While there is no official announcement but, a leak has made its way on the internet suggesting that Final Fantasy VII remake will consist of three episodes in total and the first episode will launch by the end of 2019 along with a ton of new details.

The Feast PvP Updates - Alongside a new ruleset and the addition of The Crystal Tower Training Grounds map, the new PvP Team System will allow groups of up to six players to compete in ranked matches while communicating using a special group chat function.

Updates to bard's performance actions, additional inventory through the use of a new companion storage feature, new equipment and more.

Major news for the game could be expected to come out at E3 2018, if Square Enix has any news at all. Check out the rest of the Final Fantasy VII Remake art pieces below, thanks to Twitter user junshen.

Square Enix have been cagey about announcing a release date for the remake.
