Now it looks like another Snapchat feature is also on its way to Instagram. And, the talk is about the "Type" feature to Stories that lets users post Instagram Stories without photos or videos and only text.

This is an unusual article in this website, that's mainly dedicated to WhatsApp news, but we discovered a new feature in Instagram, very similar to one implemented in WhatsApp, so we had the idea to write this post!

If you have ever used Facebook or WhatsApp stories, you must have noticed an option to put up plain text-based stories, against colorful backgrounds. Now, according to a report at The Next Web, the latest Stories addition is something called Type, which gives you a number of new fonts to type your message across a background or photo as part of your Story. However as with all features that are being tested, there's no guarantee that this will make the cut, or if it does, there's no word on when we will see it released, so we guess we'll have to wait and see. The report points out that Instagram is testing another feature called "screenshot notifications".

The Next Web first spotted the feature back in December when it rolled out to a select group of private users in Japan, and now it appears Instagram is testing it on some users in Europe as well.

According to The Next Web, which first spotted Type, it appears alongside the standard Live, Normal, Boomerang and Superzoom options when you create a new Story.

Instagram doesn't exactly offer a ton of options right now to let you customize the text you add to a Story.

Soon this will change: Instagram will notify the user when you will take a screenshot of his story!

WABetaInfo has a more extensive report on Type, which also divulges another feature Instagram is testing: screenshot notifications. And now, the same is being tested for Instagram Stories. However, this is the first time it has been applied to Instagram Stories.
