"Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student", a spokesperson for the game told Daily Star. Interactive Entertainment has announced a new game called Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, which is set to release sometime this spring.

Players will start their adventure by creating their own avatar, choosing a pet and getting settled into their Hogwarts house.

Personalization is the name of the game, as you'll be able to create your own young wizard from a number of classes, and then learn new magical skills, create new friends (and foes), and make decisions that will help your character grow into the wizard you always wanted them to be. Build your skills to solve magical mysteries, unlock new locations, spells, abilities and more.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery features both large plot arcs and smaller stories such as relationship quests. It'll be the decisions players make during these quests that will impact the direction of the narrative and determine how other characters interact with them.

For Potter fans, the game is set prior to the arrival of Harry himself at the school - during a relatively unknown period between Harry's birth and Hogwarts first year.
