It will include dates in Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Milan.

Tickets for the U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE European Tour will go on sale beginning Friday, January 26 and there will be a public ticket limit of four tickets per person. They perform at the Manchester Arena on October 19 and London's O2 on October 23.

The band have announced dates for their European tour, which will run from August to October, but Live Nation and MCD Productions have confirmed that U2 will announce details of special home shows in Ireland "soon". Eligible fans will receive a unique code allowing access for a limited presale opportunity from Monday, January 22, to Wednesday, January 24 at 5pm subject to availability while supplies last and limited to two tickets per person.

Unlike their last tour, The Joshua Tree, in which they played to huge stadium audiences around the world, including Croke Park's 82,000 fans, this time they have pared things back.

'U2 coming through... U2 coming through...' eXPERIENCE & iNNOCENCE Tour heading to Europe in August, September & October.

Much as Songs of Experience can be viewed as a companion piece to the band's previous album Songs of Innocence, the tour is a sequel of sorts.
