4 law enforcement officers shot in SC

Authorities said three York County deputies and one York County police officer were shot during the incident.

Officials are not releasing the names of the officers or the extent of their injuries at this time.

"We can really use your prayers and we can really use your thoughts right now for those officers", deputies said. Condition has not been released.

According to officials, before law enforcement arrived on scene the suspect had fled on foot from the home.

The suspect in the shooting has been identified by law enforcement as Christian Thomas McCall, 47, . A search began with the help of dogs, he said.

At about 1 a.m., a K-9 unit was tracking McCall nearby when Faris said the suspect shot that officer.

During the search for the suspect, around 3:30 a.m. three York County deputies were shot, according to York County Sheriff. It happened on Farrier Lane outside the city limits of York.

Sheriff's spokesman Trent Faris said the wounded officers have been taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department assisted by blocking roadways enroute to Carolinas Medical Center. Authorities said it was reported that McCall was beating a woman when the 911 call came in.
