"Why would I take my time to go and sit and listen to a liar", Waters said on Fox & Friends.

During an interview with stand-in host Joy Reid on MSNBC's "All In With Chris Hayes" on Friday night, Waters said the USA was being "represented by the most despicable human being that could possibly ever walk the earth".

Trump's "words and his actions tend to speak like one who knows something about being a racist", said Lewis. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who was also in attendance, seemed to confirm in his own statement Friday. I've called him a racist, deplorable, despicable, adding to what others are calling him--a moron, ignorant, on and on and on.

Trump allegedly made the comment during an Oval Office meeting with lawmakers on Thursday while arguing against restoring protections for immigrants from those areas. "He lies to the American people".

Reid asked Waters for her thoughts on President Donald Trump's racist comments about African nations being "sh*thole countries", and Waters went off.

"I don't trust him, I don't appreciate him and I wouldn't waste my time sitting in that house listening to what he has to say", Waters responded. "He does not deserve my attention".

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) said he will skip Trump's address and work in his home state instead.

"You can not speak the words of tolerance and peace and love ... and then put down a group of people, a nation of people because of the color of their skin or what part of the world they may come from", Lewis said.

Trump is scheduled to deliver the annual address January 30.
