According to TMZ, David Otunga, the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson will not be charged for an alleged domestic violence incident with the singer as the police have now completed their investigation and have chose to close the case and not charge Otunga.

David Otunga was cleared by police in Burr Ridge, Illinois, on Thursday, following thorough investigation.

David Otunga has won another round is his battle against ex-fiancée Jennifer Hudson. "As soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear".

Otunga had been under investigation by police since November following an altercation in which he allegedly grabbed their son by the hand and physically pushed Hudson out of the master suite of their home.

According to The Blast, in his emergency petition, he said he believed Hudson's priority was to stir up negative press about him and make him appear violent, as opposed to protecting David Jr. "I am now living in fear of further action David might take", she stated in the report.

In legal documents, Hudson has also explained that Otunga left a gun and holster on their kitchen counter to taunt and intimidate her.

The couple of 10 years broke up last year, which sparked a custody battle over their son, as well, as the physical abuse allegations. And while it was enough for the 36-year-old star to request and receive a temporary restraining order against Otunga, he will not be charged and will continue to have primary custody of their son, David Otunga, Jr.
