Italian TV reported that the Manchester United manager told his counterpart at the final whistle: "You don't celebrate like that at 4-0, you can do it at 1-0, otherwise it's humiliating for us".

Conte, who was cleared by a court of any wrongdoing in 2016, retorted by calling Mourinho a "little man".

Jamie Vardy nearly opened the scoring in the eighth minute after being sent clear on the right side of the box by Ben Chilwell, but he could not find the target with a right-footed strike. I have no problem with him.

"I think when a person insults another, you can expect a response or you can expect contempt, silence", Mourinho said.

Another day, another 0-0 draw for Chelsea. Conte replied with a "demenza senile" comment on Mourinho, to which the Red Devils manager came up with Conte's past match-fixing allegations - to which Conte turned furious. "A tactic to play and go to kick an opponent?"

Antonio Conte says Chelsea have faith in Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi, with a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez seemingly unlikely.

Mourinho, on the other hand, was handed a good kitty for his summer targets with the likes of Lukaku, Matic and Lindelof coming into the side, however Mourinho believes his side failed to strengthen at the back compared to Manchester City, who would spend huge amount to sign full-backs.

July 2017: After guiding Chelsea to the league title, Conte said: "Two years ago Chelsea finished 10th". But it's something that we are thinking about a loan until the end of the season. Responding to the claims, Conte mentioned that he "wasn't mocking anyone". "I think in other clubs this doesn't happen".

Jan 4, 2018: Mourinho suggested that he has mellowed over the years, unlike the likes of Conte.

"I can give my opinion to my club for every situation, then they have to make the best decision and that is right", he said. I understand Southampton are unhappy like I was not one time, more than one time when the mistake is against us.
