Just after 8:30 p.m., on Washington Pike in front of a Target department store in Northeast Knoxville, Williams tried to conduct a traffic stop on Wilson for speeding, Rausch said.

An Aryan Nations gang member shot a police officer in Tennessee with a shotgun on Thursday night, and remains on the loose.

WATE 6 On Your Side has a crew on the scene. Police said he could have two weapons and should be considered armed and risky.

Ronnie Lucas Wilson has made the "Top 10 Most Wanted" list, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Wilson is wanted by the Knoxville Police and the TBI to face a charge of attempted first degree murder of a police officer. As Knox News reports, Wilson then got out of his vehicle and opened fire once again on Williams.

Police are seeking an attempted murder warrant against Wilson in the shooting of Williams, Rausch said. It is not believed that Williams, who suffered a shoulder wound, fired his weapon. "If he is going to take a shot at an officer, he won't hesitate to shoot at someone else". "Let law enforcement handle this".

If anyone sees Wilson's vehicle, they should call 911 immediately, he said.

Rausch said Wilson is listed as a member of the Aryan Nations gang, and there is now an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a violation of probation and aggravated assault. He was given a three-year prison sentence after he was convicted of aggravated burglary in 2011. His Facebook page reportedly features shirtless photos of the suspect showing off his Swastika tattoos.

"It borrows its name from the older neo-Nazi group of the same name but is a completely separate group", according to the ADL.
