After few months of giving birth to her lovely child, Taimur Ali Khan, Kareena resumed shooting for her upcoming film, 'Veere Di Wedding'.

Ever since Padmavati, or rather now Padmaavat, was said to hit the screens on January 25, clashing with Padman, there has been a lot of reshuffling of release dates in Bollywood. The after effects of this quake could be seen in June 1 as makers of Veere Di Wedding shifted it's release date by two weeks and more film are bound to rotate. Veere Di Wedding that stars Kareena, Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor and Sumeet Vyas is a wedding drama. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, who earlier helmed Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan starrer Khoobsurat in 2014. Co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi, the film chronicles the story of four friends attending a wedding together.

On Friday, the producers of the film, Balaji Motion Pictures, announced the new release date on their official Twitter handle. The film has been delayed from its May 18 slot, to June 1.

The day, as Ekta pointed out, is also the birthday of Lakkshya, brother Tusshar Kapoor's son and her nephew. "Ab shaadi aur bday pe aap sab ko nimantran hai".
