Expected to release on 15 January, three days from now, the renders do indeed reveal two front-facing cameras, something we expected when the first leaked last month.

Apart from that, the HTC U11 EYEs (Harmony) is said to run Edge Sense based on Android Nougat.

Taiwanese smartphone company HTC announced the launch of the new phone HTC U11 Eyes in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Beijing on January 15.

A while back, HTC did confirm that it was leaving the entry-level market and indeed, the past year has seen the company unveil only midrange and high-end phones. The offerings from company fail to impress media and users across the globe.

Is there room for manufacturers outside of Samsung and Apple in the eyes of Americans and Europeans buying flagships?

The "EYE" isn't odd to HTC users.

Although the HTC U11 EYEs has yet to be announced, we already have a decent idea of what the phone will bring to the table. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor from Qualcomm with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It's not a high-end chip by any means, but it's definitely enough for all but the most intensive tasks. Besides, there is also onboard the superb aspect ratio of 18:9 while it rocks the all-new Super LCD-5 display panel. The HTC teaser as well as the name of phone are a clear nod to the dual front camera setup. Thanks to the fingerprint sensor on the back, the top and bottom bezels are now thinner. Additionally, a second variant is also expected to be launched at the event. GSM Arena said on its report that the handset is rumored to initially arrive in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Moreover, it is yet unclear if HTC will make it available in other regions later on.
