With this tweet, Evan single-handedly leaked virtually everything about the U11 EYEs, save for the camera and price.

The HTC U11 EYEs will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the HTC U11 EYEs will offer 64GB/128GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot.

Design-wise, the U11 EYEs takes its lead from the U11+ - rather than the original U11 - with its rear-mounted circular fingerprint scanner above the HTC logo and underneath the camera lens.

Sadly, despite it being 2018, the U11 EYEs will be launched running Android Nougat rather than Android Oreo.

Towards the end of 2017, we learnt about the forthcoming HTC U11 EYEs thanks to reliable leaker Evan Blass.

The HTC U11 EYEs will be launching next week on January 15 and the company has confirmed this via an invite posted on Chinese social media site Weibo.

Other specs include 64 GB of expandable storage, an IP67 rating for protection against water, and Edge Sense that lets you open an app of choice by squeezing the device.

The HTC U11 EYEs is codenamed Harmony and comes with a curving rear glass that will mostly be treated to shades of bold colors like red, black and silver with a tinge of blue. The older Snapdragon 652 chipset will be powering the phone along with 4 GB of RAM. The display also feature rounded corners, which does look appealing and makes the device look up-to-date. However, there are no rumors about the camera of the phone. Additionally, a second variant is also expected to be launched at the event.

For now, the release of the device will be limited to Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, and there is no news yet if and when it will be coming to other markets.
