Chelsea Striker Heading To La Liga?

Sevilla are growing increasingly confident of securing a loan deal for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi this month as they aim to bolster their squad.

Batshuayi snubbed West Ham for Chelsea in 2016 after the Hammers had a £30million bid accepted by Marseille.

The Belgian has still managed to score seven goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, but he is seen as no more than a back-up to Alvaro Morata by Blues boss Antonio Conte.

The Italian also failed to deny reports Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham striker Andy Carroll this month.

After making just two Premier League start this term, the 24-year-old has been linked with a January move away from Stamford Bridge.

The £58 million arrival of Alvaro Morata in the summer hasn't exactly helped Batshuayi's cause at Stamford Bridge, with the Spaniard often favoured up front to the Belgian worldwide, who has had to make do with playing second fiddle for his entire Chelsea career, so far, with Diego Costa hogging the main striker role, last season.

However, this lack of form has not dissuaded Sevilla from registering their interest in the former Standard Liege man, according to Goal.

Last week Conte said he would not stand in Batshuayi's way if he wanted to leave in search of more game time ahead of the Russia World Cup in the summer, as reported by The Telegraph.

The Blues won't, however, allow Batshuayi to leave until they find a replacement striker.
