The Room is heading back into theaters today and showings are already sold out for the cult classic that has a brand new resurgence in popularity thanks to James Franco's The Disaster Artist.

The Disaster Artist's real-life subject Tommy Wiseau revealed what he wanted to say on the Golden Globes stage Sunday night before star-director James Franco pushed him aside.

The best part of the whole moment was when Wiseau got on stage and went for the mic to say something.

But when Wiseau tried to take the microphone for a few words of his own, Franco asserted his territorial claim with a little shove.

When James Franco won his acting award, he immediately said, "The first person I have to thank is the man himself, Tommy Wiseau".

Tommy Wiseau waited nearly 20 years to get on the Golden Globes stage but, when he arrived, he was denied the chance to speak as James Franco blocked his path to the microphone. As for what Wiseau would have said, he had a simple message to impart. "Because it's really not about [The Room], it's about these two guys and their friendship and their dream to make movies". "He looked like he was going for it!" he said. He added, "The things that I heard that went on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn't have a voice for so long".

Even when he hands James Franco redemption on a silver platter, the auteur behind The Room just can't get the full-blown Hollywood experience he deserves.

The book later served as the basis for The Disaster Artist, in which Franco portrayed Wiseau. "They make it out like I'm pursuing young women". As women came out in full-force to promote Time's Up and talk about a changing tide when it comes to sexism in Hollywood and beyond, the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy victor was facing his own #MeToo moment.
