Three Injured In Kwara United Bus Crash

It was miracle for Kwara United players as they survived a ghastly motor accident on Lagos Ibadan Expressway Wednesday morning.

The club president who spoke during a telephone conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said God had been faithful to the team.

He said that the accident occurred when the bus attempted to avoid hitting a auto.

The team was departing Lagos where they participated in the Nigeria National League Super Four competition which ended on Tuesday.

He said that the degree of the accident was high but God saved all the lives involved.

"We have returned home to prepare for the match and we are determined to start the season on a winning note so that we can dedicate it to those that are still having injuries on the account of the accident".

According to several reports, some players were injured in the crash and have been taken to an undisclosed hospital.

In the statement, the club signified intention to discontinue.

"The bus rammed into the stationary trailer in an attempt to avoid a speeding vehicle from the other end of the road. Nobody died, we have the case of five people sustaining series of injuries". "Since the bulk of the players needed to play the match were not injured, they should be able to play the match", he said.

"I want to thank God for our lives because the accident was more than the eyes could see".
