Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It" has been renewed for a second season, the creator announced via Instagram on Monday.

"There's going to be a second season of 'She's Gotta Have it", Lee, joined by his wife Tonya Lewis Lee, proclaimed in the clip.

The first season, which made its debut on the streaming service in November, introduced the world to an outspoken Nola Darling (played by DeWanda Wise) with a feminist agenda.

Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It was a revolutionary event in the year of our Lord, 1986.

The premiere date for She's Gotta Have It season 2 may not be official until later this year; once there is more news about it, we'll have an announcements.

Tonya Lewis Lee is executive producer, with Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage also producing.

"There's gonna be a second season of 'She's Gotta Have It!' Thank you, thank you, thank you", Lee, whose beanie donned the show's logo, said while clapping. Can't wait to return to BK.

The show is about a Brooklyn woman struggling to define herself and her lovers.

The series produced by Netflix has been picked up for eight episodes.

The series also stars Greer Childs, Lyriq Bent, Anthony Ramos, Heather Headley, Margot Bingham, Chyna Layne, and Elise Hudson. The 10-episode first season dropped on Netflix on Thanksgiving Day.
