PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Hits 3 Million Concurrent Players

The Xbox One version, which released a couple of weeks ago on Game Preview, is only the start of that.

Bluehole and PUBG Corp have spoken vaguely about a PS4 release in the past, but details have been few and far between. According to Kim, the Xbox One release of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds has performed better than expected, selling one million copies in the first two days.

Now that Kim has revealed the company has plans for releasing the title on other platforms we can expect the next release to be on the PS4, Kim addressed why this hasn't happened already without mentioning the exclusivity deal between the PUBG and Microsoft for the Xbox One.

He also touches on the reason why PUBG hasn't made it to PS4 yet, and it's a familiar story that we've heard from other developers. The game's introduction into China as well as the release of the 1.0 version has definitely given it a big boost.

This makes it hard for games that are in a pre-release state to pass submission, and puts off some developers going through the process at such an early stage.

PlayerUnnown's Battlegrounds coming to PS4, but when?

More likely than not, the fact that Battlegrounds is no longer an early access game has garnered it quite a number of players too - as many as three million of them.

"However, PS is very strict about this". The development team assured players that they would do more to stop players from hacking last month, but apparently they will have to take even more action. Only after completing the Xbox One version will PUBG Corp. then look to bring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to other platforms, including the PlayStation 4.

It's impossible to tell.
