PROMISE ME, DAD chronicles 2015, the most momentous and challenging year in Vice President Biden's extraordinary life and career.

Biden, who was a DE senator for 36 years before becoming vice president under former President Barack Obama in 2009, is promoting his new memoir, "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and goal", which details the 2015 death of his son, Beau, from cancer.

Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will visit Portland's Merrill Auditorium on January 31 as part of a nationwide tour discuss his book about his experience dealing with the death of his son, Beau Biden. During his 45 years of public service, one of Vice President Biden's greatest strengths has been his ability to bring people together, even in crisis, even across hard divides, all the while, respecting everybody at the table.

As vice president, the Pennsylvania native was frequently used in internet memes depicting him as a rambunctious, Dennis-the-Menace-style id to Barack Obama's super-ego.

"Over the last month I've traveled around the country to share the story of my son Beau". Tickets, starting at $68 with VIP packages for $128, go on sale Friday, Dec. 22.
