According to PTI spokesperson, the former PM's son was driving a vehicle under Registration No AFF-148 when his guards started firing on the PTI motorcade.

According to him, five speeding vehicles took over his auto near Pattoki.

"I registered a complaint about the incident soon after it happened". "How can I open fire on a convoy travelling with police protocol?" he asked.

The regional police officer (RPO) Sheikhupura said they would thoroughly investigate the matter and take action against whoever was found responsible.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) alleged that Ali Musa Gillani had fired on the convoy of Imran Khan while on the way to Lahore from Okara after a public meeting.

PTI spokesperson has asserted that a First Information Report (FIR) would be lodged against son of the former belonging to Pakistan People's Party (PPP), leaders of which Imran Khan criticises in his public addresses for alleged corruption and stashing wealth overseas. However, he escaped unhurt as the vehicle was bullet-proof, the PTI leadership said in a statement.

"Ali Gilani got the convoy attacked through his security guards".

The ruling party of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to lodge an FIR against Ali Moosa Gilani.

"Gillani, through his armed guards, orchestrated an attack on the convoy of Imran Khan", said PTI in an official statement.
