Nawaz returns to Lahore after announcing movement for rule of law

On Dec 5, the two had departed for London to see Kulsoom Nawaz, the former prime minister's wife, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer in the British capital for some time.

Responding to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's announcement about launching a campaign against the superior judiciary over its recent judgements, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday said the ousted premier is incapable of running any public movement.

Sharif accompanied by his daughter Maryam Nawaz landed at Lahore airport at around 8:30 am via PIA flight PK-758 and was driven to his Jati Umra residence under an extensive protocol.

After her father, Nawaz Sharif, was disqualified by the Supreme Court in July in the wake of Panamagate Papers case, Maryam took a much more role in the party.

Nawaz had been granted exemption from appearing before the court till December 12. "Everything we have said about double standards is being proven right". Her mother, Kulsoom Nawaz, won the by-polls after her campaign.

Nawaz said that PTI chief had owned Niazi Services Pvt Ltd earlier.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that the sacrifices of the Army Public School student martyrs became a decisive factor in the war against terror.

The PML-N sources said that the other narrative of the party would be that it fulfilled its promises with the people to restore peace to the Country, especially improvement in law and order situation in Karachi and Balochistan, ended electricity shortages, put the economy on the right track and completed numerous important infrastructure projects across the Country.
