We've seen how it would look like in a couple of leaked renders and now we get an even clearer view thanks to a leaked hands-on video.

Samsung typically launches three variants under its A series- A3, A5 and A7. The company is also planning to launch Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus smartphones. However, looking at the latest renders from serial leakster @onleaks, the Galaxy S9-duo are not likely to come with radical design changes. This is why it is going to launch only two phones this time - A8 and A8+(2018). It seemingly confirms that both the smartphones will sport a rear-mounted fingerprint reader located right below the camera module.

"According to the video, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will feature a 5.5" display while the A8+ model gets a slightly larger 6.0" screen. This also means that the smartphones won't see the much-rumored under display fingerprint sensor. What do you think of the Galaxy A8 series for 2018?

Powering the Galaxy A8, there's a 3,000mAh battery, while on contrary, the Galaxy A8 Plus will bear a bigger battery of 3,500mAh capacity. At the back, there is a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor while at the front, the phone features an 8-megapixel sensor.

The past leaks also hint that the upcoming Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus will come with dual selfie camera which will offer portrait mode for selfies. Allegedly, both of the phones will have an IP68 rating. Both will carry a 16MP f/1.7 main camera while the front, interestingly comes with a dual-camera setup. And when it comes to internal components, they will be powered by an Exynos 7885 mobile processor and 6GB RAM, and a face unlock feature.

Earlier rumors said the next Samsung flagship could be announced as soon as early January to counter Apple's recently released iPhone X.

You'll note also that there's just a single-lens camera shown.
