Lorenzen Wright's murder remained one of Memphis police's highest-profile cold cases until investigators found a murder weapon in MS last month. Marion says a police official told her Sherra will be charged with first-degree murder, the same charge Turner faces.

The arrest comes just two weeks after 46-year-old Billy R. Turner was indicted on first degree murder charges for Wright's 2010 death.

He has pleaded not guilty.

The former National Basketball Association star was last seen alive on July 18, 2010 when he left the home of Sherra Wright.

According to sources, a 9-1-1 call was made from Wright's cell phone on July 19. Dispatchers acknowledged they heard noises like gunshots before the call was dropped.

According to Gail Mathes, Sherra Wright's divorce lawyer, Sherra divorced Lorenzen months before he was murdered. They didn't send a patrol officer or relay the information to Memphis police until days later.

The body of Wright, 34, was found badly decomposed in southeast Memphis in July 2010, and investigators found evidence of shell casings from different calibers at the scene.

On July 22, 2010, Lorenzen's mother filed a missing person's report with police in Collierville. An autopsy report showed bullet fragments were lodged in Wright's skull, chest and right forearm.

"Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!"

She was criticized for burning through almost a million dollars of her ex-husband's life insurance money that was taken out just six months before Lorenzen's death.

While Mathes said she "didn't have any motive to kill because he had no money", her former mother-in-law believes Sherra was driven by her son's $1 million life insurance policy, FOX13 reported.

Years ago a Memphis newspaper reported that police considered her a person of interest in Wright's murder.

Marion said police confirmed the arrest to her.
