Wilshere made his first start in the Premier League for Arsenal in 577 days when he lined up against West Ham at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers followed up their 1-0 win against Chelsea over the weekend with a stalemate draw against Arsenal on Wednesday night (13 December), to move level on points with West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

Wenger handed a rare start to Wilshere and the England global looked sharp in midfield, dictating most of Arsenal's attacks.

The 27-year-old has started just one game in the five games under Moyes and fans are perturbed about the former Olympique Marseille attacker's situation.

"Champions League now is not looking like it's not going to happen for Arsene Wenger and questions are going to come again for the manager - is he going to be there next season or not?" "Especially in first half".

"At this moment in time Adrian has got the shirt", Moyes said. "It was hard because they defended very well as well". "They were in a very defensive phase".

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Curbishley said: "Against Man City and Chelsea, they had a plan".

"We lacked maybe a little bit of sharpness as well in the final third".

As for West Ham, David Moyes's side battled on gamely to record a second successive clean sheet, although the Hammers remain in the bottom three of the table. I think Cech pushes it onto the bar. "We needed to change attitudes and the way we approach games is much better than before".

I saw the fixture when I took the job and I thought, 'Oh no, here we go'.

"I want the team to play better and the football to be better, and to create better chances, but we're getting to that. When it's the right time to talk about it, I'm sure the boss will call me and we'll have a chat".
