This has been a really bad debut year for Malik McDowell.

Seahawks rookie Malik McDowell, who hasn't played a regular-season snap after being seriously injured in an ATV crash this summer, was arrested in Atlanta early Sunday morning, per a report by TMZ Sports.

Carroll and the Seahawks are in Jacksonville taking on the Jaguars in Week 14.

According to the incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports, McDowell was shouting at the head of security about $600 he believed the club owed him ... even though he was repeatedly told by staff and his own friend they didn't have the cash he demanded.

"The cop says she was told McDowell poured out a couple bottles of liquor inside and got booted", TMZ's report says. Perez and Tom Schad of USA Today. After being removed, McDowell got into a shouting match with police officers. "He immediately accused me of stealing money from him, while I began to search his person, before placing him inside my vehicle, as we are trained to do". He got serious head injuries from that, including a concussion, and the Seahawks don't know when or if he will be able to play again. McDowell has been on the non-football injury list. But Carroll said in late November that McDowell no longer had a chance to return this season.

Chosen in the second round out of Michigan State, McDowell was expected to provide Seattle with interior pass-rush as a member of the Seahawks' defensive-line rotation. The Seahawks said their interest in trading for Sheldon Richardson began in earnest after McDowell's accident.
