"Uh, probably ... um ... not really", Gordon said.

That's not suggesting Snyder would make a change - I don't know that at all.

Lynn, a running backs coach for 14 of his 17 years as an assistant, came to the Chargers preaching the importance of the run.

Los Angeles' Keenan Allen logged 100 or more receiving yards for the fourth week in a row and for the sixth time this season.

Twelve games in, those two numbers couldn't be much farther apart. He also moved ahead of Warren Moon for ninth place in National Football League history in career yards passing.

Chargers receiver Tyrell Williams added four catches for 132 yards and a touchdown.

Rivers passed for 256 yards in the first half.

The Chargers did not abandon the run, but they took more of an aerial route while winning six of their next eight games to move into a first-place tie with Kansas City and Oakland in the. "Whether it's a lack of focus or a lack of attention to detail, whatever it is, we've got to fix it and move forward". The pass protection up front has been outstanding. Williams got behind the Washington secondary, pulled in Rivers' missile-pass at the Redskins 30 and jogged unchallenged to the end zone for a 20-6 lead.

"He's doing a nice job delivering the ball, with no turnovers the last three weeks, knock on wood". We just got to be better as a whole.

"I'm at a loss for words, quite honestly", Redskins coach Jay Gruden said.

Los Angeles quarterback Philip Rivers is looking forward to it. "If you're that predictable, eventually, they'll shut you down".

Sunday offered little hope that this year would be different, as the team's two biggest star players, Josh Norman and Kirk Cousins, both had major struggles in a 30-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rivers, who just turned 36 last Friday, had a day's worth of production in less than 49 minutes. "We were all pulling the rope in the same direction, but I think you're still learning each other, figuring each other out".

The Chargers pushed the lead to 10-0 later in the first quarter on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Rivers to Henry.

They earned it: Rivers' offense played with confidence and flair, executing reverses and flea-flickers while thoroughly entertaining a crowd with distinctly fewer fans of the opposition than in the Chargers' first few games at StubHub Center. He missed the following week of practice and last Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns.

Bigger first-down gains led to more manageable second- and third-down plays. Dallas put (38) on us last week.

But on the Chargers' first snap after Davis' TD catch, Rivers hit Williams deep downfield for an untouched, 75-yard score.

Those will be issues for future days, at least until the Redskins find a victory. Williams posted nine receptions for 84 yards in six games played.

"At times, you want to get frustrated".

"I will say that I believe we have a small margin for error", said Cousins, who was 15 of 27 for 151 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
