A lot of newness has emerged from the Marvel machine in 2017, but now, the follow-up we've all been waiting for has finally been announced: Jessica Jones Season 2.

It's been a long wait for fans of "Jessica Jones" to return - the first season, which won a Peabody Award, streamed back in November 2015.

What can we expect from Season 2?

While still trying to move on with herself, being back as a private investigator, the past is still haunting her with what happened to her in the first season.

The full 13 episodes of season two will be available on Netflix from 8 March 2018.

Season 1 of "Jessica Jones" saw the titular character battling demons from her past, as the villainous Kilgrave (David Tennant) made a reappearance in NY, seeking out Jessica and tormenting her every step of the way. "It's still a psychological thriller, but it's more of an emotional thriller this time". The story, centered on Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) former lover/supervillain, Kilgrave (David Tennant), put the heroine on top time and again despite intense mental, emotional, and physical obstacles.

Ritter's joined by returning cast members Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and another familiar face, as well as newcomers Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez.
