"This is a chance to set the record straight and show them that no, we're part of the community, we're part of a family, and it's important to us to get that opportunity", Jones concluded.

"Oh, it is great, it is really great", Thompson said.

While at the store, Santa Clause made an appearance, riding in on top of a firetruck from the North Logan Fire Department. He said the employees at Heritage Auto Group helped this year, donating money and volunteering to serve breakfast.

Each child was given $125 dollars to spend on their families.

"We don't want the kids to be afraid of law enforcement, and always come to us if they have a problem or need help, or anything like that, or just to say hi", says Gulker.

Other "Shop with a Cop" events took place Saturday in Newport and Middletown.

"We have every law enforcement agency in our valley". "They heard about it - there was a guy at our last Coffee with a Cop who had Shop with a Cop back where he lived, I believe Albuquerque, and liked it and wanted to see it continued". Afterward, they were also treated to lunch and received help wrapping their gifts.
